For many years Google has occupied the largest space in the Chelsea market. The space measures about 400,000 square feet, and it is located on the upper floor of the New York shopping emporium. While this space has become a tech hub for Google and its partners, the organization has decided it wants it all. The reports indicate that the Chelsea Market is worth about $2 billion. That is a lot of money, but we are sure that Google will not find it difficult to come up with the funds to purchase the Chelsea Market. So the big question is what plans does Google have for this massive space? Are there plans to build a campus or a research center? The details are still sketchy, but we know that something big is brewing.
It is expected that by April, the deal will be completed and Google will have its prints all over the New York Shopping Emporium Chelsea Market. Currently, the commercial space has many shops and food courts; there are also office spaces and smaller spaces which have been rented by startups that have plans to develop unique products that will revolutionize the tech world.
It is however not surprising that Google needs more space. For such an innovative company with huge plans for the future, we can only expect that steady growth will bring about the creation of more jobs in the tech industry and the provision of more opportunities for students and inventors to showcase their accomplishments. A lot is happening in the tech industry, and we are happy that these events are going to be revealed to the public in our time. Now, all we can do is wait for a formal acknowledgment and official statements from Google to get the answers we seek.
